We join together to provide a wide range of mental health, crisis services, parenting support, family-focused therapy, and residential programming. How you can make an Impact Our Residential Service Program offers a continuum of housing for the acutely and chronically mentally ill with supervised residences. Our purpose is to help those suffering from severe mental illness to live in the least restrictive setting that is compatible with their level of functioning. As a Direct Support Professional in our Adult Residential Program, you will provide for the safety and security of adult clients within the residential setting by promoting a healthful and supportive environment. Assist with skills training and daily living responsibilities. Uphold ethical standards in accordance with the Social Work Code of Ethics. Work closely with the residential nurse, supervisor and director in the implementation of adult individualized rehabilitation treatment goals. Collaborate with Acenda team members and external supports to enhance independence. Preferred is a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university with a major in a mental health, health or other appropriate human services related discipline with k nowledge of and experience with the chronic mentally ill adult population.
