Your Role as National Program Manager - Community College Success We are seeking a dynamic, high-energy, idealistic leader to join our successful, growing organization as part of our program leadership team. The Program Manager helps oversee the National Virtual Coaching Program as they work to serve students. Program Leadership Work with the Program Director to develop and implement strategies that will maximize collaboration and effectiveness among program areas. Work with the Program Director to provide leadership in the development of inter-team communication and cohesiveness, sustaining culture and supporting staff during organizational growth. Work collaboratively with the Program Management team to integrate cross-program activities and functions. Support with program evaluation and monitoring to develop objective performance measurements, to ensure consistent, high-quality evaluation and goal setting for all employees. Program Management Ensure that students consistently receive the highest quality of services, that client needs are met individually and severally, and that each student makes satisfactory progress towards personal and program goals. Manage the consistency and quality of advising sessions between advisors and students. Screen the progress of students using qualitative and quantitative data from surveys, advisor deliverables, and in-person check-ins. Develop, implement, and monitor an annual program calendar and timelines. Plan and execute student recruitment and program rollout at community college sites. Using the existing performance management system and program dashboard; establish consistent, objective program performance standards of accountability. Facilitate weekly, monthly and quarterly meetings with direct supervisees, including logistical and programmatic preparation to help evaluate current program activities and prepare for future initiatives. Identify, and manage key projects to improve program services and performance as needed during the year. Team Management and Development Manage a team of FTE/Program Managers (and indirectly lead a team of entry-level program staff). Recruit, hire, and oversee the training and orientation of all supervisees. Work with the Program Director to develop and implement a system to evaluate the skill, experience, and professional development needs of all staff. Identify opportunities to improve existing organizational systems and locate areas where workstreams can improve. Help maintain a system of setting priorities and managing multiple different projects at once both for program innovation and advisor led initiatives. Streamline and standardize how these systems work within the entire National Virtual Program Team. External Identify and work collaboratively with internal and external entities in providing for current and anticipated needs of students. Serve as a central point of contact between specific community partners and the College Possible program. Build and maintain positive, professional relationships with school personnel, exhibiting courtesy in all transactions, and provide frequent reports on the status of each students' activities and progress. Other duties as assigned. What You Bring Education: Bachelor's degree required, Master's preferred. Related Work Experience: Minimum two (2) years of experience working with educational programs. Minimum two (2) years of supervisory experience. Experience working with college aged students. Familiarity with community college student support programs strongly preferred. Computer/Software Skills: Strong computer skills, including demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office products. Other Skills, Abilities and Requirements: Ability to work well with diverse types of people in a team environment. Eagerness to help low-income young people achieve success. Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills. Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and handle potentially stressful situations calmly and appropriately. Flexibility to work in multiple locations. Time is split between the College Possible office and affiliated schools. Desire to work in a growing nonprofit organization, ability to adapt, creativity, and commitment to excellence highly valued. Access to reliable transportation required.
