Position Description Summary APT Research is hiring a Senior Radar Analyst in Huntsville, AL. The senior-level candidate is responsible for analyzing radar signal data, issue root cause identification and resolution, algorithm development, and presentation of results for technical briefings to leadership. The candidate should be a self-starter and be able to operate with minimal supervision. Required Experience/Education : • Applicants must have a minimum of a BS in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or similar degree field, and a minimum of 10 years relevant experience • Understanding of radar signal and data processing • Experience with root cause analysis of strategic radar systems and interoperability • Understanding of radar signal and data processing • MATLAB knowledge and experience • LINUX knowledge and experience • Ability to generate clear, concise, and intuitive presentation of results • Strong Microsoft Office skills • Strong interpersonal skills and reporting practices • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Able to work well in a team environment Security Clearance Requirement: A Secret clearance is required. Preferred Experience: • PERL script knowledge and experience • Familiarity with X-band radars • Familiarity with the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) pre- and post-test analysis activities and procedures Essential Job Functions: ( Add/Remove information needed in the section below based on your job requirements) Work Environment : · Office environment · Requires ability to provide clear, concise, accurate, and timely communication, both verbally and written · Ability to interact professionally with coworkers, management, and customers Travel Requirements : · Requires ability to travel domestically (within the U.S.) Physical Requirements : · Requires sitting for extended periods of time at a workstation / desk · Ability to lift >15 lbs.
