What the Role Entails Are you passionate about risk management and quality control? If so, you could be a good fit for our VP Risk Management position. The VP Risk Management will report to the CFO and is responsible for managing and leading the risk areas of the Credit Union including Internal Audit, Compliance and Collections. This person will lead the develop ment of procedures for quality control, as well as develop and review quality control reports , implement corrective measures and report findings to leadership as needed. They will also oversee, monitor, investigate and report fraud including loss recovery and future loss mitigation. The VP Risk Management will be responsible for the overall direction and performance of the direct report( s ) including hiring, performance evaluations, training and regular meetings with staff. They will also own the business continuity plan for the Credit Union, being responsible for development, maintenance and testing of the plan and collaborating with department heads to ensure it remains current on an ongoing basis. The VP Risk Management will support the Information Security Program by facilitating continuous monitoring of member information risks, as well as supporting a culture of risk awareness amongst all staff through training and support. They will also oversee BSA Officer tasks ensuring compliance will all applicable laws and regulations. What we're looking for The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree or three to five years of related job experience. Banking or credit union experience is preferred, with knowledge of both federal and state laws and regulations affecting the Credit Union or demonstrated knowledge of risk management and a desire to build upon that knowledge. Strong Microsoft Excel skills and a desire towards detail and accuracy are a must. This person must be able to work independently, manage a team, and maintain strict confidence.
