Environmental Health & Safety Manager

We are growing! And we have a great opportunity for an Environmental Health & Safety Manager ! Responsible for maintaining the environmental, health and safety programs to ensure a safe work environment for all employees and ensuring the EOSDSUSA facility complies with all OSHA, Federal and State regulations. Develop/ implement training programs and policies to raise safety awareness, train critical safety skills and address areas in need of improvement. Develop/review site risk assessments and job hazard analysis. Job Duties Develops/updates and implements EHS programs and training materials as needed. Ensures safety training of all site leadership and employees is conducted to ensure a thorough knowledge and understanding of safety rules, regulations, and guidelines. Works closely with production personnel and assists with environmental, health and safety issues. Develops, implements, and manages plant safety audit and inspection programs. Manages corrective/preventive action registers. Collaborates with associated departments to ensures equipment inspection, testing and maintenance is performed and documented as required by site procedures. Advises site leadership on all matters affecting employee, contractor and visitor safety, health, and wellbeing. Provides strategies for meeting legal requirements and improving safety performance to plant Operations and Leadership team. Implements all OSHA standards and regulations in a timely manner and maintains all necessary records for workers compensation, OSHA, and any other records assigned. Performs accident investigation and provides analysis and recommendations to eliminate future accidents. The primary contact for regulatory agency management personnel and external auditors. Other duties as assigned, not determined at the time of hire. Qualifications BS degree in Environmental Health, Safety Engineering or Occupational Health or related field. 5+ years' experience in environmental, health, and safety management. Previous manufacturing experience a plus Must demonstrate a history of involvement with environmental health and safety and implementing OSHA regulations in a manufacturing environment. Ability to successfully present information and brief upper management on strategies for compliance. Ability to interface with local, State and Government agencies as required. Familiar with ISO requirements. Ability to develop/update SOPs for the organization. Experience developing and conducting training programs Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent written/oral communications skills; ability to communicate well with employees relative to EHS issues required. Preferred Qualifications Familiarity working under US Government contract in similar role.
