This is a Hotel Front Desk Supervisor position with a small company managed by a cohesive team of professional that is looking to increase our capability. This position earns a competitive wage of $17.00 - $20.00/hourly , depending on experience. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A HOTEL FRONT DESK SUPERVISOR The Front Desk Supervisor is a multi-dimensional role that requires performing multiple job duties, often simultaneously - coordinates front desk activities and ensures complete satisfaction of all guests. Additional responsibilities include, but not limited to: communicating with all departments, managing reservations and room assignments, assisting with the F&B operation and responding to guest requests, inquiries and escalations. Role Accountabilities & Expectations: Provide exceptional customer service to all hotel guests, making their stay as comfortable and accommodating as possible while achieving team and brand goals. Ensure front desk is tidy and has all necessary materials (i.e., key cards, packets, etc.). Train, supervise and support front desk. Recruit and train new employees. Create, organize, and maintain scheduling for all front office employees. Assign tasks and ensure all front of house positions are covered for duration of shift. Ensure timely and accurate customer service. Handle complaints and specific customer requests. Troubleshoot emergencies. Monitor stock and order office supplies. Review and respond to all in-house and third-party reviews. All other duties as assigned/required. QUALIFICATIONS FOR A FRONT DESK SUPERVISOR High school degree or GED preferred. Two (2) years' hotel experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Good reading, writing, mathematical and communication skills. Able to interact professionally with other departments and outside contacts. Able to complete a heavy workload and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision. Good judgement and decision making abilities. Ability to work day shifts, holidays, Monday through Friday, night shifts and weekends. Must pass and remain in compliance with drug free workplace policies. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS (as required by OSHA and ADA) Ability to work weekends, holidays and evening hours as business demands. Must be able to spend 90% of working time standing, walking and reaching. Pushing, pulling and lifting objects from a lower to higher position or moving objects horizontally, from position to position. Maintaining body equilibrium to prevent falling while walking, standing or crouching in narrow, slippery or erratically moving surfaces. Climbing and ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps. Must be able to carry loads greater than 15 pounds and exert up to 25 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently. Hearing sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction. Specific vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
