WebSphere Administrator Position Summary : Located at Randolph Air Force Base near San Antonio, TX. OTS has a current opening for a WebSphere Administrator where you'll work alongside our Development, Application and Production Support teams on supporting and implementing application changes, database enhancements, and database production support including incident, problem and change management, extensive troubleshooting, patch installs, upgrades and running daily data-fixes among many others. Primary OS environments are Linux, UNIX, with some Window Servers. Position Duties and Responsibilities : Create and maintain all databases required for development, testing and production usage, and perform the capacity planning as required. Oracle R-DBMS 11.2.0.4 running on a RAC cluster Leverage general familiarity with Administration of WebSphere Application Server (to include IBM HTTP Server and Installation Manager), Version 8.5.5 preferred, but minimum of Version 7.0. is acceptable Leverage a good knowledge of the operating system(s) especially Linux RHEL 6 & 7, and physical database design to complete work Provide standard onsite support with additional after hours/weekend support as needed. Rotational 24 hour on-call is required Assist and troubleshoot network appliances (primarily including IBM DataPower.) Application of system security patches to include IBM WebSphere and Oracle R-DBMS 11.2.0.4 Identify impending hardware end-of-life (EOL) or support issues and researching suitable replacement alternatives Assist with server maintenance, upgrades, and deployments during extended and/or deviated work hours Perform patching and maintenance of WebSphere environments. Requirements: Minimum 2 years administration experience in a WebSphere Application Server clustered environment (WAS ND) Thorough understanding of WebSphere 7.x and 8.x, including migration and upgrade experience. Working Knowledge of J2EE application platform configuration and performance optimization Hands on experience in the installation, configuration, tuning/sizing, clustering, deployment and problem resolution of WebSphere Middleware Components Experience creating and configuring WebSphere application servers, web servers, IBM HIS, WAS plugins Experience creating scripts (wsadmin, shell, Jython, and Jacl) Knowledge of DataPower (Xi52) specifically - Web Service Proxy, Keys & Certs Management and Troubleshooting Experience with IBM Integration Bus (IIB) and/or IBM MQ administration Experience with R12 EBS HCM Modules Experience with Oracle Fusion Middleware applications Education : Minimum five years hands-on relevant experience Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field of study If no degree, substitute an additional two years of relevant experience for a total of seven years' experience Must have a DoD 8570 Certificate such as COMPTIA Security+ DoD Security : Must be a US Citizen Must have a Tier 3 Federal Investigative Standard (formally known as NACLC)
