Associate Manager Selection Analyst

Description:
Support research, analysis, selection and monitoring of third-party investment managers. The Associate role will support work efforts of more senior team members and work with other members of the research team to provide robust manager diligence, portfolio analytics and investment research. The role will evolve over time and this individual will have the opportunity to take on increasing responsibility. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES: The responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Monitor existing investments to assess manager performance and risk. Research new managers/strategies for investment consideration. Contribute to detailed analysis and diligence for proposal and review by the Investment Committee. Support Wealth Management Advisors and Retirement Plan Division with client specific requests. Prepare semiannual mutual fund due diligence reporting for delivery to all Retirement Plan Division, Plan Sponsors. Compile manager comparison documents for use in the development of new business proposals for Retirement Plan Division. Develop seminar materials and participate in the presentation of this material. All other duties as assigned. POSITION SPECIFICATIONS: MINIMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED : Bachelor's Degree and 3 years' experience in financial analysis (ideally in an investment research setting) or equivalent education and experience preferred. Interest or progress toward the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation desired but not required. Advanced Excel knowledge and experience required. TALENT, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES : Passion for financial markets. Strong communications skills. Strong quantitative and technical abilities. Detail oriented. Ability to work in a complex environment and successfully perform with multiple priorities. Ability to develop and refine complex financial models, analytical processes and methodologies. Ability to collaborate with other team members to cultivate a robust learning environment within the Research Team. Strong decision making and consensus building skills required in the asset selection process. Self-motivated, ability to work independently while fully functioning within a team environment. Ability to monitor and assess numerous data sources, asset classes, and investment categories. Ability to work successfully in a cross functional environment with Wealth Management Advisors, Compliance and Operations on trades and other issues tied to Research Team
