The energy of the volunteers in the Association's 120+ chapters is focused on the programs in support of deployed Soldiers, civilians, and their families. PROGRAM MANAGER, CHAPTER SUPPORT AUSA is looking for a personable and talented Program Manager to join the Membership Department . Position reports directly to the Director, Region and Chapter support. T his position works closely with volunteer groups across the globe to help support and plan events and ultimately grow membership. The nature of the work requires experience in training , work ing with volunteers , strong interpersonal skills , outstanding written and oral communication skills , and knowledge of association management databases. Learn everything we do at http://www.ausa.org . DUTIES: Assists the Director of Region & Chapter Support with the volunteer inquiries, training, onboarding, and related activities. Responds effectively to issues and assesses for future potential issues. Maintains the chapter leader portal website page , online portal , database . Posts announcements online and responds to issues in a timely manner. Updates records in the database to ensure the information is current and accurate. Manages the association's mass e-mail provider to assist chapters with member communication. Responsible for exporting and uploading prospect lists for chapter leaders on a continual basis. Prepares and sends out messages for those groups that request such assistance. Creates new users for use of the mass e-mail system as needed for volunteer groups. Troubleshoots mailability of member emails and updating email preferences as requested. Provides online and in-person training for the New Chapter Presidents Training, Chapter Leader Development Training, and special training sessions as required. Training topics include the effective use of membership portals, mass e-mail system, website management , and more . Create s instructional materials to ensure a detailed understanding of training topics and processes to be distributed throughout the volunteer groups . Actively seeks current training methods and best practices to facilitate training volunteers. Responsible for monitoring volunteer activities through the submission of Chapter Activity Reports (CARs) and implementing the chapter awards recognition program. Oversees award recognition program, monitoring performance against requirements and deliverables, completing required outcomes reporting, monitoring of award requirements ; planning and coordinating meetings and virtual training related activities. Manage s volunteer group activity reporting, data collection, quantitative and qualitative data analysis, reporting and dissemination. Monitor s and evaluate s awards program's effectiveness and success periodically and report on them. Compile s and analyze s data monthly and year-end reporting. As assigned, participates in special initiatives, e.g., membership campaigns, AUSA's Annual Meeting activities, event planning , surveying, filing, researching, and providing technology solutions. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and at least two years of experience working in a similar program or organization. Instructional experience and familiarity with traditional and modern training methods (in classroom training, virtual, workshops, etc.) Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to organize, summarize, and maintain quantitative and qualitative information using systems such as Microsoft Excel. Outstanding customer service skills including strong written and oral communication skills; ability to function effectively in a collaborative team environment; data analysis skills/experience preferred; technology skills including experience and/or the ability to effectively utilize the full potential of an association management system (experience with Salesforce and Pardot is a plus). Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build good working relationships with people at all levels and to represent the organization professionally. Strong problem-solving skills. Highly adaptable and flexible. Ability to work independently with little supervision. A team player with good organizational skills. Able to plan and prioritize your work areas, while contributing to wider team activities and priorities as required.
