As a Crisis/SASS Counselor you have to provide case management and/or counseling services in a four county area, to youth and their families who exhibit mental health crisis or serve emotional and behavioral problems. Services are intended to assess the appropriate level of mental health care for children and adolescents, and provide comprehensive community care through direct services and/or linkages to the least restrictive resources. To learn more about this position, please read the summarized list of duties below. Provide direct crisis intervention services, including after hours coverage to all persons in the organization service area (Knox, Warren, Henderson, Henry Counties) on a timely basis. Consult with medical Phyicians when providing crisis intervention in a medical setting, the physician recommendation will be followed. consult with peers or psychiatrist when screening clinically complex cases in non-medical settings. Become proficient in the knowledge of all bridgeway services and procedures in order to assure proper referrals and to facilitate problems resolutions. Provide case coordination services to families applying for/receiving the Individual Care Grant as assigned. Provide training to staff, community groups, and/or other parties on crisis interventions related topics at the direction of administration. Participate in clinical supervision, clinical staffing and continuing education as directed. Master's degree is preferred, will consider a Bachelor's degree in psychology or related field. Prior experience with crisis counseling and intervention services is also preferred. Must have reliable transportation.
