Open Positions: Part-time Porter Day shift, up to 20 hours per week, hourly, non-exempt Livingston Classical Academy 8877 Main St. Whitmore Lake, MI 48189 Phone: 734.839.XXXX School website: http://www.livingstonclassicalacademy.org/ JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Keeps buildings and premises, including walkways, parking lot and play areas neat and clean at all times. Shovels, plows and salts sidewalks, driveways, parking areas and steps, as appropriate. Sweeps or vacuums classrooms daily; dusts furniture. Cleans daily the corridors after school and during the day when the condition requires it. Unpacks deliveries made to the academy, at the request of the school office. Scrubs, hoses down, and disinfects bathroom floors and cleans all sanitary fixtures and drinking fountains on a daily basis. Washes all windows on both the inside and outside at least twice each year and more frequently if necessary. Keeps the grounds free from rubbish. Maintains all floors in a clean and attractive condition. Weekly cleans all chalkboards and marker boards. Promptly reports major repairs or property damage to the Principal. Keeps an inventory of supplies and equipment on hand. Moves furniture or equipment within buildings as required for various activities and as directed by the Principal. Complies with local laws and procedures for the storage and disposal of trash, rubbish and waste. Coordinates and works with volunteers in their efforts to beautify Academy grounds. Assumes other responsibilities assigned by the Principal. QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE Minimum Requirements: Must be at least 18 years of age. High school diploma or equivalent. Demonstrate aptitude and competence for assigned responsibilities. Ability to work effectively with school personnel and students in a diverse school community. Solid record of punctuality. Desired Requirements: Custodial experience in a school setting. JOB GOAL To provide students with a safe, attractive, comfortable, clean and efficient educational setting.
