Description:

Toft Dairy is seeking two Part-Time Merchandising Specialists. One for the territory of Sandusky and Norwalk and one for the territory of Oberlin, Lorain, Elyria and Avon. The position interacts with management and personnel at each store location and is responsible for understanding store operations in a grocery/retail environment. This includes ordering, stocking, and rotating milk/dairy and ice cream products. Our merchandisers maintain product in an organized manner on the store shelves and in backstock coolers and freezers. This individual must be accountable and communicate well with their Toft's Sales Supervisor. The Merchandising Specialist requires a physical skillset that includes: lifting, stacking, loading, pushing and pulling, bending, reaching and squatting while merchandising and moving products. Product weights can vary up to 25lbs, but occasionally over 50 lbs. Toft Dairy is Ohio's oldest dairy distributing both dairy and ice cream products to customers within an approximate 100-mile radius of the Sandusky plant. Responsibilities: Merchandise, stock, and rotate current products. Create attractive displays to improve product sales. Promote new products. Place product orders. Provide customer service. Participate in store re-sets (if needed). Identify new sales opportunities for the Toft Dairy, Inc. Develop positive rapport with customers and store management. Communicate information regarding competitors' products and programs to Company management. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required. Related experience is preferred. Good oral and written communication skills. Strong math skills necessary to forecast existing stock backstock and placing orders specific to each store Must possess a valid driver's license, proof of insurance, and dependable transportation to access multiple store locations within the specified territory. Primary Accountabilities: self-motivating, responsible, proactive, coachable, detailed-oriented and dedicated.
