A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER In this robotics programming role, you are essential to inventing, patenting, and engineering new products for the company. Often working as a tech lead for new software module developments and improvements, you will spend most of your time designing, implementing, testing, and communicating progress with team members and stakeholders. Working as part of a larger software team, you help write code for large construction machines that will be a part of real job sites. You will have the opportunity to test our robots in real work environments and ensure they succeed in performing construction operations. Other responsibilities may include participating in engineering peer review of proposed designs and code. You also support other departments by helping field robot fleets and producing new robots. Your master programming skills make you a great asset, and because you are passionate about technology, you find genuine enjoyment in the work you do! QUALIFICATIONS FOR A SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER 5+ years of experience with a bachelor's degree, or a 3+ years of experience with a master's degree in a related field Proficiency in Linux (experience working in a Linux development environment) Proficiency in C++ software (tested in a virtual interview) Knowledge of Python Robotics or distributed mixed real-time systems experience Robot Operating System (ROS) experience Experience working with formal product requirements and test-driven development US work authorization, no visa sponsorship This is a Safety Sensitive Position requiring work in an equipment testing facility with various safety hazards which are potentially life-threatening to the employee and Team Members without proper safety precautions. This position may require around heavy equipment and under constantly changing circumstances. Team Members will be subject to more stringent drug testing and compliance policies due to these safety risks. Are you detail-oriented?
