Doane University invites applications for the position of Head Women's Wrestling Coach at its nationally recognized undergraduate campus in Crete, Nebraska. In this position, you will have the opportunity to assist in building a new program founded on ethical values and a culture of compliance following all applicable rules and regulations (GPAC and NAIA). The ability to effectively supervise and develop student workers and one or more assistant coaches will be a key part of succeeding in this role. Primary/Essential Job Duties: A iding in the supervision of the wrestling program including day-to-day operations, practice planning, competition schedules, and travel arrangements for the team. Maintaining the wrestling practice and competition environment so as to provide an exceptional practice and game day environment for our student-athletes. Supervises student workers and those assigned to assist the wrestling program and communicates with the Doane Maintenance Staff regarding the facility set up for practice and competition. Demonstrating excellence and contributing to the college's resource engine by recruiting to consistently meet enrollment goals. Qualifications/Skills/Abilities Required: Effective leadership of the team and the wrestling program The ability to effectively recruit and retain student-athletes An excellent knowledge of the sport An outstanding ability to teach the sport to student-athletes he ability to represent Doane University in a positive and effective manner Education/Training Required: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required. Playing or coaching experience at the collegiate or professional level. Licenses and Certifications Required: A valid driver's license and driving record acceptable to the university's automobile insurance provider is preferred.
