American Extrusion International is a global company engaged in the design, development, manufacture, installation and service of Grain Extrusion Equipment and other up/downstream accessories for the Food Industry. We are looking for someone to join our team in the Accounting department. The person's primary focus will be Accounts Payable. Requirements: Knowledge of general accounting procedures Proven work experience as AP clerk preferred. Proficiency in data entry Attention to detail and accuracy. Organizing and prioritizing Ability to meet deadlines Multi-tasked and able to work in a fast paced environment College degree preferred but not required Main Tasks and Responsibilities: Process AP Invoices ensuring correct approval, sorting, coding and matching of invoices. Verify vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements. Research and resolve past due invoices, $ discrepancies and other issues. Answer vendor inquiries. Receive and sort incoming mail. Maintain accounting ledgers by verifying and posting accounting transactions. Reconcile petty cash transactions. Distribute signed checks as required. Assist in monthly closings.
