Covenant has a beautiful 400-acre campus that stretches atop Lookout Mountain, Georgia on the Georgia/Tennessee border, just outside of Chattanooga. The campus enjoys incredible vistas of the Smoky Mountains and views that span across several states. The region is widely known as an outdoor recreational paradise for campers, cyclists, climbers, cavers and hikers, all this while being conveniently located within two hours of Atlanta, Nashville and Knoxville. OPPORTUNITY: The Admissions Operations Coordinator reports to the Admissions Operations Manager and is responsible for data entry, application system support, and assisting the Admissions Operations office in the coordination and delivery of information. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Support the daily and seasonal tasks of the Admissions Operations office, including maintaining the main Admissions email and phone, fulfilling interdepartmental mailings for scholarship invitations and results, and maintaining the inventory of the Admissions Office. Hire and supervise student employee(s) of the Admissions Operations office, assigning tasks relevant to the office, supervising their work and approving their timesheets. Process prospective student data by uploading third party datasets, application materials, processing transcripts, and movement of application files to assist in completing files for reading. Support and regularly communicate with Admissions Counselors regarding their work with all prospective students, alerting them to changes in their students' status with the end goal of moving students closer to matriculation. Act as CRM Super User, assisting the CRM Captains in equipping the recruiting, visit, and communication components of Admissions and other internal departments using the Admissions CRM (Slate), creating forms, queries, reports and events. Interface regularly with other departments across campus, especially including Financial Aid in regards to sending student offers, Records in regards to transcript evaluations, Student Development and Marketing in regards to electronic and physical marketing pieces. Complete other duties as assigned by the Admissions Operations Manager. CORE COMPETENCIES: A tech savvy, innovative and entrepreneurial spirit Excellent oral and written communication skills Ability to be helpful and supportive of various constituencies of the college, both internal and external Ability to maintain professional attitude and demeanor Ability to manage/implement projects in a timely fashion REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree Working knowledge of Google Apps and Microsoft Suite PREFERRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Minimum of one year experience in a professional office environment Experience in higher education admissions Working knowledge of Slate CRM and/or Banner SIS ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS: An acceptance of and commitment to Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. An understanding of the mission and purpose of Covenant College. Must be able to assent to Covenant College's Staff Commitments. PHYSICAL WORK ENVIRONMENT: This role is expected to be performed on campus unless otherwise directed or arranged for and operates primarily in a professional office environment using standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, fax machines and other job-related technology. Remain in a stationary position the majority (75%) of the workday. Classified as light, occasional lifting or lowering an object from one level to another (includes upward pulling) up to 10 lbs. Expressing or exchanging ideas and conversation by means of the spoken word; needs to be fluent and conversant using the English language. Generally, days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm. Other hours may be required occasionally, as job duties demand. Minimal travel for professional training and/or conferences, up to one or two per year.
