SUMMARY: Coordinates and supports activities associated with purchasing MRO supplies for plant location. ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Reviews and monitors requisitions, inventory levels, supply sources, terms, etc. associated with purchasing MRO supplies for plant. Prepares, issues, and manages purchase orders to vendors. Procures MRO supplies in a cost-effective manner utilizing buying experience and skillset. Keeps informed of price and delivery conditions. Monitors performance and capabilities of vendors to ensure delivery, quality and price commitments and reports any issues to management for corrective action(s). Acts as a liaison in dealings and interactions between vendors and users when and if needed. Participates in vendor selection. Researching and comparing suppliers, goods, and services. Selecting the most suitable suppliers in terms of reliability, product quality, and cost-efficiency. Monitoring inventory levels and determining purchase needs. Requesting cost proposals and negotiating contracts and prices. Preparing and processing purchase orders. Maintaining records of all transactions, purchase orders, receipts, and payments. Scheduling and verifying purchase deliveries. Building and maintaining positive, long-term supplier relations. Other duties as assigned. REQUIREMENTS: Proficiency in CRM and inventory management software programs. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Strong organization and documentation skills. Strong research and analytical skills. Maintain regular and reliable attendance. Comply with all Company policies and procedures. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree 3 years purchasing/buying experience in a manufacturing environment.
