POSITION SUMMARY The Director of Finance will direct financial activities of the organization and supervise preparation of schedules and other documentation for audits of company's accounts. They will establish and recommend to management, major economic objectives and policies for company. Also, they will prepare reports which summarize and forecast company business activity and financial position in areas of income, expenses and earnings based on past, present and expected operations.The Director of Finance will also be responsible for preparation of annual budgets. Additionally, they will advise management on desirable operational adjustments due to budget constraints and changes in reimbursements. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Directs and participates in the development of accounting and internal control policies and systems Provides advice and assistance to department heads and managers in analyzing and interpreting financial data and reports and in presenting that information to their departments Coordinates and controls the facility's cash management activities Ensures that accurate information is provided on a timely basis and assists, as needed, in facilitating the efficient conduct of external audits, examinations and related financial projects Demonstrates effectiveness in pulling together all the necessary information needed to compare revenue and expenses and determine the facility's actual financial position Monitors the implementation of checks and balances which continually evaluate accounting practices, reporting procedures and record keeping Recommend strategies based upon financial, accounting and industry trends. Researches and analyzes management, operational and staffing issues to assess financial impacts Manages the preparation and provision of financial, revenue, expenditure, fund status, and variance reports to management to enable financial and budgetary monitoring, control, and positive cash flow Assistance to the Chief Financial Officer. Performs all other duties, as assigned. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES & QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's or advanced degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field required Masters in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration, a plus Healthcare experience, particularly in the areas of Medicare, Medicaid and related reimbursement regulations, highly desirable Extensive financial statement preparation experience required Extensive management experience required in both technical accounting and consulting environments required Current understanding of generally accepted accounting principles for private companies Ability to meet multiple deadlines in a client-service environment Excellent written and oral communication skills Strong time management skills Working knowledge of spreadsheet and word processing applications. Strong analytical/problem-solving skills Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action Ability to deal professionally with personnel, visitors, government agencies and the public BENEFITS Comprehensive Health Benefits Package (Medical, Dental, Vision and more) 401k retirement savings plan Paid vacation Salary Range: $130,000 - $160,000* with a potential bonus of up to 20% to be paid in 2024 *The salary range is the one that Beecan Health reasonably expects to pay for this position.
