Senior Proposal Manager

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Leads the creation of RFIs/SSNs, task orders, IDIQ proposals, and other stand-alone proposals that may range from $5M-$150M in value Ensures adherence to proposal development preparation guidelines, processes, methodologies, and associated business tools Analyzes requirements and ensures that proposals meet requirements Edits, standardizes, proofreads, or makes changes to material prepared by other writers; eliminates inconsistencies in format or voice, typos, and grammatical and spelling mistakes Builds proposal outlines and compliance matrices and oversees creation of proposal templates Develops effective methods for presenting and organizing information within proposals, such as the use of tables and graphics Coordinates proposal layout and outlines with SMEs and technical writers Maintains records and files of work and revisions Manages the production, reproduction, and binding/packaging of draft proposals, final proposals, and all hard/soft copies Organizes material and completes writing assignments according to set standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style, and terminology Ensures proposals are delivered on time and in compliance with all RFP requirements. Performs other duties as assigned or required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university, with a preference for majors in English, law, philosophy, history or other discipline that indicate an ability to write accurately, well, and concisely in an organized fashion with strong citing of source material where required A winning track record of proposals as the lead proposal manager or volume lead for Federal or commercial clients; Federal experience required; commercial industry experience highly desired A minimum of 6 years of experience with development of complex proposals related to aviation, aircraft equipment and components, and/or products, to include inclusion of artifacts like Work Breakdown Structures and Integrated Master Schedules into proposals; lack of such experience is a disqualifier Superior MS Word and PowerPoint skills and conversant with Excel required; knowledge of other editing and publishing tools highly desired Willingness and ability to obtain and maintain a government-issued security clearance at a minimum of a SECRET level Demonstrated achievement of successful outcomes when working with diverse teams who are solving complex challenges APMP certification or active enrollment a plus The ability to learn and rapidly apply knowledge of the company's operations, corporate capabilities, and core competencies in order to develop strong proposals and marketing materials Problem-solving and resource integration abilities Ability to apply interpersonal skills in establishing and maintaining successful working relationships with corporate personnel, project managers, staff, and other business enterprises and partners This is a remote role with travel required for classified proposals.
