Ergon currently has an opening for a Payroll/Benefits Administrator to join the Human Resources Department who will also assist in handling the company's benefits and other HR-related activities and projects. Payroll/Benefits Administrator Responsibilities: Prepare and process employee payroll. Track and deduct all garnishments and other special payroll deductions. Coordinate efforts between payroll, human resources, ... See All and other departments to ensure proper flow and maintenance of employee data. Establishes/maintains employee records. Ensures that employee changes are entered correctly and made on a timely basis and reviews changes for proper authorization to stay in compliance with federal/state/local regulations. Assists with enrollment and on-going maintenance of fringe benefit plans (medical, dental, FSA, 401k, etc,), COBRA/FMLA administration, and HR and benefit-related reports. Payroll/Benefits Administrator Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. No prior payroll experience is required; however, knowledge of Kronos software, and forms 940, 941, and state unemployment tax filings are all a plus, as is former accounting experience. Knowledge of company policies and procedures and the benefits packages offered or the ability and willingness to learn are prerequisites for this position. This position requires highly developed logical thinking skills, along with the ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion, excellent problem solving/judgment skills with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy, strong organizational skills with the ability to work under pressure, handle and prioritize multiple tasks, and the ability to meet all deadlines.
