At Encanto Palms we maintain two distinct and separate comprehensive/holistic programs for individuals exhibiting behavioral problems: one program for residents with dementia behaviors and the second program for residents with non-dementia behaviors. Our purpose is to provide the highest quality of life in the least restrictive living environment for residents with behavioral issues not appropriate for placement in a traditional assisted living facility. Our Goal To provide an enriched living environment that is therapeutic, safe and comfortable. We strive to enhance and maximize residents' dignity, functional capacity, independence, individuality, privacy, and choice. We utilize the soundest and most up-to-date treatment approaches to ensure optimal quality of care. Our staff is extensively trained in caring for persons with a variety of behavioral acuities. Each resident benefits from an individually designed care plan that is specifically addresses their behavioral needs. We are responsive to the needs of our residents and families, alone with their medical providers, referral sources, and payors Responsibilities • You will ensure that care delivery is consistent with the mission, vision, values and policies of Genesis HealthCare and in accordance with accepted standards of practice, state and federal regulations and licensing requirements • Position Highlights Collaborate with the Director of Nursing to maintain adequate nursing coverage to provide safe nursing care Provide professional guidance and supervision to non-professional unit staff • Identify educational needs of the staff and plans, along with the Nurse Educator, a program to meet needs • Oversee medication management to ensure adequate supplies and that all medications are handled in accordance Genesis policy Provide direct patient care along with the other unit nurses to maintain skills Qualifications • Current Certified Caregiver • At least one year of nurse management experience • Must maintain current BLS/CPR certification Benefits Competitive pay Healthcare Benefits including Vision & Dental (Full-time only) 401k (Full-time only) Paid Time Off Rewards and Bonus Opportunities Continuous Training and Growth Opportunities Fun environment and a great staff to work with!
