Sampson Regional Medical Center is hiring a Registrar to join the ODC Registration team! Description: The selected applicant will perform a variety of task, included but not limited to patient demographic, insurance information, limited medical information from patients presenting for service at SRMC, obtain signatures for consent and authorization, produce registration documents and distribute as required per hospital policy, provide assistance to patients, their families and visitors in getting to their destination within the hospital. Additional responsibilities include collect self-pay balances, deductibles and co-payments according to hospital credit policy, operation of computer, answer telephone and verify medical license of non-medical staff providers who order diagnostic test. Requirements: High School Diploma, GED or equivalent. Customer service, excellent communication, basic math and data entry skills required. Associate's degree in business or healthcare management preferred. Previous experience in hospital patient access department or front desk physician's office preferred. Bilingual a plus!
