Description:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Reviews shop drawings, identifies and prepares necessary materials, supplies and equipment for sign installation. Drives trucks w/ trailers to transport sign materials to installation sites. Meet with customer and review job with them to make sure all items and locations are correct. Load and unload trucks with supplies and equipment. Assemble and install products utilizing hand and power tools. Drive multiple types of lifts for installation (scissor, lull, boom lift, etc.). Performs maintenance and repair to existing signs. Completes paperwork for installations and service work. Follows all safety guidelines and regulations. Obtains completed work sign-off from customers. Maintains installation tools and truck. Other duties as may be assigned. Competency: Strives to continuously build knowledge and skills. Able to read and interpret written information, blue prints and shop drawings. Demonstrates attention to detail. Able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events. Is consistently at work and on time. Commits to long hours of work when necessary to reach goals. Volunteers readily and seeks increased responsibilities. Looks for ways to improve and promote quality. Completes work in timely manner and strives to increase productivity. Observes safety and security procedures, reports potentially unsafe conditions and uses equipment and materials properly. Continually looks for ways to improve processes and decrease costs. Approaches company commitments from a team perspective. Able to work through issues with the customers. Qualifications: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred, but not required. Strong mechanical aptitude is beneficial. Construction background is beneficial. Must be able to read a tape-measure. Must be willing to travel out of town for various lengths of time. A clean driving record is mandatory. Must be able to pass a DOT physical exam. Must be able to pass drug test. Be able to lift 100 lbs.
