The Production Planner's general responsibilities include; managing products and materials through various production phases to ensure the most cost efficient support of established production levels and company business objectives. Key Tasks and Responsibilities: Coordinates production workflow for all product lines. Plans and prioritizes operations to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay. Prepares and submits status and performance reports Effectively identifies, reacts and communicates with key personnel across multiple departments regarding material shortages that could lead to ontime delivery issues. Enters and releases shop orders according to schedule and expedites as needed to meet customer requirements. Identifies potentially obsolete inventory and presents disposition recommendations in a timely manner. Maintains item master databases which includes safety stock levels, run quantities, etc. Identifies, recommends and implements process and efficiency enhancements and seeks continuous improvement opportunities. Job Requirements/Qualifications: Regular and punctual attendance is an essential function of this position. Experience in MRP (Manufacturing Resource Planning) Working knowledge of MS Office and ERP systems. Strong organizational and problem solving skills Excellent communication abilities, both verbal and written. Minimum of two plus years of experience in manufacturing operations, production planning, or material management.
