You are looking for a challenge and enjoy working on high profile and exciting projects. You are a Professional Engineer (PE) in North Carolina, or able to obtain your NC PE within 6 months. You have 10+ years of experience in Construction Materials Testing and Special Inspections. You have a Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering. You have leadership experience. You have a strong working knowledge of applicable ASTM, AASHTO, and DOT standards and procedures, IBC Special Inspections, and geotechnical recommendations. You are willing to work outside, maneuver equipment, and lift up to 50 pounds. What is the job? Serving as Senior Project Manager for medium to large Construction Materials Testing, Special Inspections, and Geotechnical projects; Mentoring of other professionals and field based staff in client development and project management; Developing and maintaining a local client base, and professional network, capable of providing sufficient revenue to achieve financial objectives established during annual business planning; Coordination of local and regional business development and marketing efforts; Generating and/or reviewing field and laboratory cost estimates and proposals in accordance with project plans and specifications, International Building Code (IBC) requirements, and client-provided requests for proposals.
