QTEC Aerospace is seeking a DEVSECOPS ENGINEER experience to join our team of professionals in Huntsville, AL. The qualified applicant will become part of a team of professionals representing both industry and government. The successful candidate will be detail oriented, have a proven track record and a positive work ethic. Job Summary QTEC Aerospace is looking for highly capable and motivated individuals. The successful candidates will function as an integral member of a multi-contractor team providing program, engineering, and technical support to Missile Defense programs. The selected candidate will support the program DevSecOps team to develop and deploy Infrastructure as a Service and Platform as a Service capability. Job Duties/Responsibilities Responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to the following: A ssist in the system administration of multiple environments, software deployment, troubleshooting, and automation in a DevSecOps environment for a critical customer program W orking with the leading DevOps practices and tooling ( Hashicorp Tools, Gitlab CI/CD, Ansible Tower and Nexus Pro) Work on systems administration related issues with hardware and software for different network environments Support deployment of custom software solutions integrating COTS, GOTS, and developed software Propose system administration process improvement to reduce overall maintenance requirements by working with the design team and manufacturers Determines systems requirements, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility and maintenance of system configuration Identifies, analyzes, and resolves program support deficiencies Develops and recommends corrective actions May provide technical guidance for database administrators and software developers Minimum Education and Experience Bachelor of Science in the Computer Science field ( i.e. EE, CIS, CPE, MIS, IT) , or equivalent experience At least 10 years of background experience CompTIA Security+ (or equivalent) DoD 8 570.01-M IAT Level II Certification Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Experience with Linux or Windows System Administration Scripting skills in languages such as bash or PowerShell Experience with automation Must be an effective communicator with excellent writing and presentation skills using Microsoft PowerPoint and Visio drawing tools Must be responsible to work independently / solo at times on large projects, at other times will be in a collaborative team environment with other DevSecOps engineers, as well as other program development and deployment teams. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, and prepare and brief presentations to the customer as needed. Self-motivated and customer-oriented . Desired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Knowledge of DevSecOps principles Experience with Ansible Automation Platform, including Ansible Tower Experience with HashiCorp Packer and Vault Experience with Gitlab CI/CD - Experience with Nexus Experience in virtualization technology, including, but not limited to, VMware Understanding of HP server configuration U nderstanding of software development life cycle. Also, experience with Agile methodology. Security Clearance Candidates must currently have and be able to maintain a minimum DoD SECRET level security clearance .
