Now Offering Student Loan Repayment up to $10,800 Position Overview: The staff Speech-Language Pathologist is responsible for the evaluation of patients; development, coordination, and implementation of the treatment plan; maintenance of informative, accurate, and timely documentation; participation in team meetings; training of others as indicated; and participation in continuing education. Essential Functions : a) Evaluate patients. b) Develop treatment plans and goals. c) Implement treatment plan. d) Complete documentation. e) Participate in team meetings. f) Provide training/learning opportunities as assigned. g) Participate in continuing education opportunities. h) Supervise employees. i) Maintain equipment and keep a clean work area. j) Transport patients. Physical Demands and Working Conditions: Physical Demands: Ability to lift twenty (20) pounds. Moving, lifting or transferring of patients may involve lifting of up to fifty (50) pounds, as well as assist with weights of more than one-hundred (100) pounds. Ability to stand for extended periods. Fine motor skills. Visual acuity. Qualifications & Skills: a) Education: Valid ASHA certification or equivalent. Must have Current BLS Certification. b) Training & Experience: One year of experience is preferred. c) Job Knowledge: Relates well with various people and personalities of all ages. Demonstrates good judgment and problem solving skills in a variety of staff and patient-related situations. Recognition of own limitations in practice and ability to seek out support and expertise of others. Demonstrates maturity as related to emotional involvement and self-assessment skills. Demonstrates ability to be flexible and adaptable. Demonstrates good verbal and written language skills including correct spelling and medical terminology. Demonstrates strong formal and informal clinical teaching skills. Demonstrates the ability to delegate effectively. Ability to work with patients of all ages.
