Position Description: This are direct care position works in our Awakenings Day Program. The Awakenings Day Program provides support to adults with Autism and challenging behaviors, who also have other intellectual, developmental, and physical disabilities. Full Time Day Position Pay Rates: $16.50 per hour M-F day hours between the hours of 8:00 am - 4:00 pm for 35 hours per week. Benefits Include: Health Dental Vision Disability Life Insurance 403b Retirement Plan Paid Time Off: 14 days the first year and 20 days the second year Holidays: 7 paid holidays Requirements: HS Diploma or equivalent Previous experience or the ability to support adults with intellectual, developmental, and physical disabilities, Autism; and challenging behaviors/psychological issues. Must be 18 years old or older We will consider anyone who has had a valid driver's license for at least one (1) year, but prefer two (2) years, not counting any time on a learner's permit. In addition, the successful candidate must be able to attend our paid specialized training in its entirety, on and off during your first two (2) weeks of employment - M-F from 8:30 - 5:00 pm. Applicants also need to pass a reading comprehension and math test, a background check, and pre-employment screenings which include a drug screen and physical/fitness test. These are very physical positions that requires lifting and transferring (at least 50 pounds) , and the ability to provide direct care and implement proper restraint techniques to ensure the health and safety of the persons served.
