These roads are packed with thousands of interesting, compelling stories. We need an Associate Brand Manager (ABM) to join our team. A team member who can ensure that our brands tell the right story to the right audience on the right platform. Our story has many chapters. Asphalt Materials has several brands, locations, people, products, and an industry leading lab driving innovation. ....and we have customers, a lot of them!! Our ABM will help create and deliver the novel and engaging, compelling written and visual content for use across all communication channels, including social, digital, traditional sales, and marketing programs and analytics....for internal and external audiences alike. The core strength of our business is the formulation, manufacturing and research & development of the necessary components needed for the asphalt industry. J-Band is one of the latest and most promising innovations in road construction today. It was developed at The Heritage Research Group Innovation Lab to solve road managers most challenging problem. As J-Band grows in prominence and opportunity nationwide, this role will help personify and elevate the brand. We are: A highly technical company, in a highly technical industry. You are: a strategic thinker but also enjoy getting things done technically curious with the ability to tell the story with creativity and accuracy appreciative of the highly technical nature of the business a quick study and someone who understands what good looks like a relationship builder with the ability to be tenacious and find the right person to give you the right information for the right story a great storyteller and have a wide variety of interests organized, self-motivated, goal-focused and capable of meeting deadlines and exceeding expectations. You create systems where none exist. Skills: Excellent writing and editing skills Ability to manage and own projects Keen understanding of SharePoint, CRM and Social Media Ability to blend the left-brain/right-brain nuances of marketing to connect with customers Technical savvy with an understanding of highly technical industries Requirements: College graduate (with a degree in technology, marketing or business) or proven experience Interest in brand building Experience writing and developing marketing and internal communications content (either as a journalist, blogger or content marketer) Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Deep understanding of the systems and distribution mechanisms of CRM (Constant Contact, e.g.) and social networks (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn) Basic understanding and working ability with graphic design and video editing a plus Based in Indianapolis with the opportunity to travel. Full-time position with flexibility to start part-time for the right candidate. J-Band is a product of Asphalt Materials, Inc, (AMI) a company in the family of companies within The Heritage Group.
