Job Description: The Maintenance Staff member is responsible for completing maintenance and work orders at Head Start facilities. Responsible to perform or arrange for repairs as needed. All work to be completed efficiently and in a timely manner. Work will require occasional services to be completed on-call, after hours and/or on weekends. Duties and Responsibilities: Maintenance of all facilities. Includes regularly scheduled maintenance as well as completing submitted maintenance requests and work orders. Maintain accurate documentation and regularly communicate status updates and progress with supervisor. (30%) Perform minor repairs at Head Start locations. Refer repairs beyond scope of expertise to Assistant Director. (20%) Maintain outdoor equipment and playgrounds, including fall zone requirements and weekly disinfection of playground surfaces.(15%) Responsible for minor grounds maintenance including pulling weeds, shoveling snow, spreading ice melt etc. (10%) Other duties as assigned by supervisor. (5%) Education and Experience Requirements: High school diploma or GED. Must have experience and skills in minor facilities repair. Knowledge of State, Federal and Head Start regulations, codes and policies, preferred. Must be at least 21 and have a valid Utah driver license.
