JOB LOCATION: Wilson, Greenville and Surrounding Areas POSITIONS AVAILABLE: 1 PRIMARY FUNCTION: The efficient management of assigned projects and operations. Position has direct responsibility for personnel, equipment, scheduling, safety, quality workmanship and mixer trucks. ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Quality Concrete Foreman Supervise and direct crew to assure completion of assigned project as instructed by the superintendent and/or the project manager. See that new personnel receive proper orientation to acquaint them with company policies, safety requirements and job responsibilities. Conduct periodic evaluation of assigned personnel. Assist and direct crews in proper use of equipment, improving job performance, controlling cost and quality of work, increasing productivity, improving communication and housekeeping on project. Perform equipment inspections, request maintenance and repairs as needed. Monitor crews and maintain regular work hours. Maintain daily payroll records and log hours worked for each employee assigned to you. Maintain daily diary, recording conversations, weather conditions and events which could be used for future reference. Complete all required daily reports and verify their accuracy. Ensure all work complies with local laws, ordinances, company policies and procedures and regulatory requirements. Conduct daily huddle meetings with safety as the primary agenda. Maintain good relations with general public, engineers, architects, inspectors and customers to facilitate job progress and to promote a positive company image. Encourage the development of corporate unity, insuring team spirit and pride throughout the company. Perform additional duties as required in the operations of the project or as directed by immediate supervisor or another manager. Work long, flexible hours as demanded by our customer's including nights and weekends. Work outside for extended periods during all seasons of the year. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Education: Must be a minimum of 21 years old Work Experience: Minimum of 3 years' experience in quality concrete construction management. Able to communicate problems based on the many variables of the project. Must be able to manage any project assigned. Experience with NCDOT and/or Federal projects desired, but not required Other: Candidate must be able and willing to work around and above water. Also, must not have a fear of heights. Must have a good work ethic, be dependable, on-time and have a regular and constant attendance. Job requires various hours that may include nights and weekends. Candidate should be eager to learn and advance. Physical Demands: Moderate physical effort required, lifting or moving average weight material (typically over 25 pounds) or occasional lifting or moving heavy weight materials (over 60 pounds). Physical Activity: Position requires the ability to work around noise, dust and heavy equipment. Position requires the ability to exchange ideas quickly and clearly and the ability to receive and evaluate detailed information.
