Title: Asset Manager/Hardware Technician Location : Washington, D.C. Responsibilities: Responsible for establishing and managing a strategic asset management process, receiving, bar-code, manage and inventory hardware as it comes in and out of operations Conduct daily, weekly, monthly audits and lead annual inventory audit Work with Desktop Engineers and other support staff to resolve discrepancies in asset records Perform continuous service improvement to enhance hardware asset management and remain compliance; create dashboard Manage all help desk stock rooms; monitor and report on IT hardware stock levels Provide KPI/metric information, weekly accomplish reports and ad-hoc reports as requested Follow established service desk processes for ticket management Develop and maintain knowledge documents (work instructions) in accordance with Knowledge Management processes; work with Knowledge Manager Provide expertise on multiple complex work assignments, to include hardware lifecycle and tech refresh Ensure help desk area of responsibility hardware configuration items are accurate and updated in CMDB Monitor incident and requests to resolve or complete task work Provide rapid support response for break/fix and requirement requests Work in cross-functional team in a hybrid environment If necessary, liaise with third-party support and vendors Requirements: Education: Bachelors degree or equivalent experience (1.5 yrs experience = 1 yr of of College (non-degreed = 6 yrs of experience)) ·Experience: 5 or more years of professional IT experience, with 2 or more years in a management or technical team lead role administering operational computing environments Clearance: FTC Public Trust required Excellent problem solving, quantitative and analytical skills Strong written and oral communication skills; exceptional customer service skills Excellent technical knowledge of laptop, desktop, and peripherals hardware Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Active Public Trust security clearance, or the ability to obtain it As a contingency to employment at NetCentrics, all candidates who are given offers must successfully pass a background investigation including criminal history and reference checks Desired qualifications/skill set: ServiceNow experience Basic knowledge of SCCM ITIL Foundation A+ or Network+ All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, veteran status or on the basis of disability.
