Responsibilities include assisting maintenance technician employees with a variety of duties related to Township operations. EXAMPLES OF WORK: (Note: These examples are intended merely as illustrations of the various types of work performed) Perform routine housekeeping and custodial tasks, including but not limited to cleaning locker rooms, offices, fitness center, and other areas within Township facilities. Perform minor facility and equipment repairs as directed. Responsible for meeting room set-up and tear-down, as assigned. Assist maintenance technicians in the performance of their duties. Perform other assigned duties as required ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS - KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Minimum age of 18 years old Must possess a current, valid Driver's License with a driving history that does not create liability concerns; i.e. convictions of reckless driving, careless driving, a suspended license, or convictions involving drinking and impaired driving Some knowledge of and skill in the operation of hand and power tools required Ability to operate department vehicles including but not limited to small vans or pick-up trucks Ability to communicate effectively and establish good working relationships with the public and other employees Must be able to understand and follow oral and written instructions Ability to perform manual labor for extended periods of time; ability to work in adverse environmental, extreme weather, and field conditions Strong organizational and communication skills (both oral and written) required Ability to work a wide variety of shifts including afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays This is an "At-Will" position: Work assignments and hours are scheduled based on availability, division requirements, and within the confines of the budget. An employee in this position can work up to 29 hours per week year-round. Work hours, however, will be solely determined based on workload and availability. This is an at-will position. Hours are limited and will vary based on the operational needs of the department. Employees in this position will be classified as part-time.
