SPM Swiss Precision Machining in Wheeling, IL is seeking to add a Production Manager to its team. SPM Swiss is a hidden gem among CNC machining with a clean, well-lit air-conditioned shop. SPM manufactures small, precision parts for medical and dental equipment. Help us make a difference in the world! In this position, the Production Manager: Organizes and oversees the work and schedules of departmental supervisors. Leads and motivates subordinates to fulfill schedules, improve processes, control costs, and deliver quality work. Reviews usage and makes recommendation regarding costs, materials, and efficiencies of manufacturing production. Reviews logs, datasheets, and reports to assess production. Along with other departments, implements new production processes and required equipment. Identifies process abnormalities or inefficiencies then addresses those problems. Submits production reports to the Plant Manager or other appropriate staff. Ensures employee compliance with plant safety, environmental, and operational standards and regulations.
