CareSTL Health seeks a full-time Board Certified Pediatrician to provide for the acute and chronic medical and health maintenance care of pediatric patients. Duties: Provides hospitalization care of appropriately hospitalized health center's pediatric patients Provides after-hours coverage for urgent health care problems for health center patients of a rotational on-call basis Participates in the health center's Performance Improvement program Assists in the formulation and implementation of the health center's health care plan Practices Evidence Base Medicine Uses electronic health record (here) for documentation Completes and signs encounter note(s) within 24-48 hours Orders Lab test(s) in the electronic health record Reviews and signs/dates lab tests results daily both in here and printed results, when indicated Reviews and signs/dates radiology reports daily Follows recall policy for abnormal tests Uses electronic health record for prescribing medication via e prescribe and to document patient's medications A successful candidate: Effective clinical and communication skills Qualifications: Education: Board Certification as a Pediatrician licensed to practice in the State of Missouri Other: Must have reliable transportation. Additional Eligibility Qualifications (licenses, programs, certificates, pre-employment check and post and annual screening(s) Copy of Board Certification as a Pediatrician licensed to practice in the State of Missouri Current Registration with the Missouri Family Care Safety Registry Must maintain hospital-admitting privileges at appropriate hospitals Must meet criteria for Meaningful Use of the Electronic Health Record Annual PPD or Chest X-Ray
