SUMMARY OF DUTIES Responsible for the overall design, planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of financial functions and structure of Child & Family Service and of CFS Real Property, Inc. to ensure stewardship of corporate assets and accurate and timely financial reporting to management, CFS and CFS-RP Board of Directors and outside agencies. Initiates and implements financial systems responsive to the changing needs of CFS; oversees budgeting and accounting functions of organization. Provides leadership for the Finance Department. Initiates and implements financial systems responsive to the changing needs of CFS. Directs the consolidation of data and financial reports of multiple corporate entities. Provides regular and special reports for evaluation of continued viability of programs. Prepares monthly, periodic and annual fiscal reports in a timely manner. Controls cash flows and maximizes returns on available cash and investment income. Evaluates and recommends pricing and fee structure related to costs of services. Provides a process for the control and preservation of agency assets. Coordinates all necessary fiscal and budgetary materials pertinent to submission of proposals for agency contracts. Prepares and coordinates the agency budget. Participates as a member of the Senior Leadership Team and collaborates with the heads of programs to ensure effective implementation of financial policies and procedures. Recommends strategic direction and develops the operating strategies for financial management/practices of the organization consistent with strategic planning. Participates in Finance Committee and Board meetings. Directs the preparation and execution of the annual audit as needed. Maintains confidentiality at all times. Performs other related duties as assigned. EDUCATION AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS Four-Year College Degree from a school accredited by a recognized accrediting agency - general major. Requires basic knowledge or training in a specialized or technical field or trade, such as social work, professional accounting, finance, business administration, and marketing. Other (Specify): Bachelor's degree in Business, Public Administration or similar field. CPA preferred. EXPERIENCE Over six years. Other (Specify): Experience in leading a substantial financial unit/ division involving financial planning, budgeting, and accounting. SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED Knowledge of fund accounting and current standards for non-profit corporations.Experience in budgeting, forecasting and working knowledge of cost accounting.Experience in business plan development and unit costs for lines of business preferred.Strong leadership and team building skills.Strong interpersonal, teaching, communication and computer skills. OTHER POSITION REQUIREMENTS This job requires a valid Hawaii driver's license, a clear driver's abstract, and willingness to travel in personal vehicle on an as-needed basis throughout the island.
