Shipping/Receiving Coordinator

Shipping/Receiving Coordinator is a very hands-on position that will require constant communication, collaboration, and coordination between multiple departments to ensure timeliness of incoming and outgoing shipments and quality control that meets day-to-day operational compliance with all import and export laws and regulations. Responsibilities include: Coordinate and schedule shipping arrangements with carriers (UPS, DHL International, Federal Express) and ensure paperwork for orders matches what is being shipped out and lead the quality control inspection of all goods entering and leaving the facility for non-conformance. Coordinating all aspects of shipment preparation to include pallet/crate building and best protection practices. Familiar with INCOTERMS and can provide guidance relative to the selection of the most appropriate and cost-effective Incoterms for various types of freight movement. Generating Shipping Documents (Bill of Ladings, Commercial Documentation, Packing Slips, Export/Import Customs Declaration, Certificate of Origin etc.) as required. Maintain organization of materials and products in warehouse and participate in production and procurement meetings. Inspect incoming materials or packages for flaws and damages and coordinate the placement of materials while conducting inventory checks and pulling of materials as required per project or sales order. Responsible for the coordination and record keeping of all products shipped and received and ensure appropriate information, reports, and compliance documentation are provided to meet shipping requirements. Establish and maintain both inbound and outbound logistics services through the gathering of data, identification of logistics providers, negotiation with providers on all aspects of services, and monitors performance. Review purchase and sale contract terms relating to international shipments. Analyzes and recommends transportation and freight costs, as well as appropriate routing and carriers to be used. Education and/or Experience Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of related experience.
