MDW is currently seeking a Junior Cost Estimator/Analyst in support of our Missile Defense Agency (MDA) customer. The analyst must be capable of applying technical judgment to DoD Business Operations for complex weapon systems. As part of an experienced team, the analyst will have the following responsibilities: Independent execution of tasks related to Cost Estimating & Analysis Preparing and analyzing cost estimates and models varying in complexity with techniques common to the field Work independently and within a team to resolve issues and develop solutions Develop cost models and incorporate cost risk analysis Prepare estimates for changes in technical and/or funding baselines Prepare independent government cost estimates for Acquisition Strategy Panels Participate in CARD recommendations and engage in reviews of cost models and data accuracy and adequacy both internally and with OSD CAPE Coordinate information with programs and functional areas Prepare and provide Analyses of Alternatives, Business Case Analyses, and mid-term and far-term architecture planning studies Conduct data normalization, statistical analysis and empirical analyses using applicable databases Develop initial cost data collection plans and validation methods for earned value and other contractor cost data reporting requirements Development and maintenance of cost policy process improvements Development and maintenance of Government owned cost databases Prepare and participate in cost scenario reviews Prepare unit cost data for congressionally required reports Assist in the preparation of prioritized requirements lists and their justification Participate in affordability reviews providing the data's basis and to identify potential trade-offs, provide impact and assess alternatives Provide the cost estimates to support agency budget submissions and Acquisition baseline documents Required Experience: Cost Analysis experience to include estimating and data collection Working independently and with teams teams in solving complex problems Experience using Excel and other MS Office products Desired Experience: Prior affordability analysis experience Prior MDA experience is a plus Education Requirement/Required Years of Experience: BA/BS degree in a related field with a strong background in mathematics to include Calculus I and Calculus II Additional Requirement(s): Candidates for this position must be eligible to obtain a US DoD Secret Clearance (or higher) Candidates with a current Secret clearance preferred Company Description Incorporated in 2012, MDW is a small business headquartered in Washington, DC with offices in Huntsville, AL.
