AAA USA is looking to fill the position of Sealer Operator in Fargo, North Dakota. Position Summary: Move units to the pallets. Production goal for IG6 is 260 units/hour. Glass sizes, shapes and weights vary per schedule. The largest unit is 40"x50" and weighs 44 lbs. Per lift policy, 0-50 lbs. is a single person lift. Essential Job Functions : Perform final QC on unit. Wipes silicone from all corners and move unit from conveyor to pallet. Lift (preferred) 44 lbs. from 34 inches, carry 10 feet, place at 9 inches to move 100 lbs. unit, with a 2nd person, from conveyor to pallet. Pinch (preferred) 10 lbs on wipes to move silicone into place on corners of units. Wipe excess silicone off and clean tip of sealer every 100 units. Set up 250 kg. barrel of silicone in pump machine. Clean nozzles at the end of each shift using hand tools, compressed air and a Dremel tool. Pull 160 lbs. at 35 inches to tip barrel of silicone until it reaches its balance point. Push (2 hands) 160 lbs. at 30 inches to move barrel into exact position under pump machine. Push/Pull 70 lbs. at 35 inches on spring loaded clamp. Pinch (preferred) 10 lbs. to remove silicon off the tip of the sealer. Grip 5 lbs. with preferred hand on hand tools/nozzles and to open/close valves on the pump machine. Complex balance technique needed to maintain an upright position of barrel while rolling up to 21 feet to set down in pump machine. Remove/replace pallet gates. Line the racks with cardboard and/or plastic strips per customer request. Lift 26-46 lbs. from 44-64 inches to move gates from side to back of pallet for packing. Return to side after packing. Place dunnage prior to banding. 3-5 bands on each pallet. Up to 400 pallets/shift. Each lap around a pallet is approximately 20 ft. Lift 9 lbs. from 30 inches, carry 100 feet, place at 10-50 inches to place band around pallet at 5 heights. Grip (preferred) 20 lbs. Position 3 to seal band. Pinch (preferred) 10 lbs. to tension and cut band. Push/Pull 10 lbs. at 30 inches to move dolly Walk: Each lap around a pallet is approximately 20 ft. and each pallet requires 3-5 bands. Bend/Reach 10-62 inches to secure band at various heights. Must position bungee racks in exact position for the robot. Certification is required for use of a Rider and Walk-Behind Pallet Jack. Push/Pull 100 lbs. at preferred height to position bungee rack exactly for Robot. Push/Pull 25 lbs. at 37-53 inches with preferred hand for steering and cornering. Push (down) 13 lbs. at 54 inches to adjust handle of pallet jack to preferred height. Grip (each hand) 10-20 lbs. Position 2 to throttle, steer and provide 3-point contact for safety. Pinch (each hand) 10 lbs. Lateral to operate toggles on pallet jack. Climb 8 inches on/off the platform of the Rider pallet jack. Rolls are 10" and weigh 32 lbs. Approximately 15-20/day. Lift 58 lbs. from 4-48 inches, carry 15 feet, place at 53 inches to move preserve rolls between storage, assembly area and the masker. Grip (preferred) 30 lbs. Position 4 to unlock and lock roll. Qualifications: Teamwork, flexibility, integrity and a high degree of professionalism are required.
