As a Hermitage Members Club Snow Sports Instructor you play an integral role in driving our youth and family interest in Skiing and Snowboarding, working with children of all ages is a MUST. Positions available in our daily private lesson and seasonal development programs. Competitive pay scale that rewards your commitment to professional development starting $18.00/hr! $60.00/hr - Examiner/National Team$55.00/hr - DEV/ETS$50.00/hr - Level 3$35.00/hr - Level 2$22.00/hr - Level 1$18.00/hr - Uncertified & + 15% AUTO GRATUITY PER LESSON The Hermitage Club is a Private 501.c7 non-profit social club and ski area. We are 100% focused on the heritage and lifestyle of skiing and riding, and value skilled instructors who share that vision. Our Instructor compensation recognizes that every lesson should be taught as if it's a Requested Private Lesson, and the years of education and dedication required to attain top level certification contributes to creating a lifelong passion for skiing and snowboarding. Limited employee housing available Job Tasks/Responsibilities After an orientation period and on-the-job-training, the successful candidate will be expected to; Provide a learning environment that is safe and fun utilizing various teaching methods, techniques, and demonstrations in a variety of weather conditions. Clearly and accurately provide instruction for our teaching staff using physical demonstration, verbal communication. Working within the policy and procedures of the Hermitage Club. Job Requirements Required to pass a background check and work with children Required to be fluent in English, both verbal and written. Required to be able to communicate effectively to groups, individuals, guests, and co-workers Required to work well in a team environment Required to work weekends and holidays Required to be willing to adhere to Hermitage Members Club policy for wearing an approved helmet at all times while teaching. Physical Demands & Work Environment Required to be able to sit, stand, kneel, walk, and ski/snowboard for extended periods of time Required to be able to push, pull, lift up to 50 pounds Required to work and teach effectively outside in inclement weather in a winter alpine environment.
