What's the role? Staff Accountants are a key part of the accounting team responsible for supporting client relationships while providing basic audit and/or tax preparation services. This includes: Assisting in preparation of payroll, tax, and business records and reports. Assisting in preparation of corporate and individual tax returns. Assisting with analyzing client financial records to identify potential accounting and auditing issues. Strengthening existing client relationships. Communicating with clients as needed. Communicating and meeting with clients as requested; providing recommendations to assist clients with financial or tax needs. What experience and skills do I need to be successful? Here are some skills we'd love to see on your resume: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting highly desired or equivalent work experience. Tax return preparation and review experience within a public accounting firm. Comfortable working daily in Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word, and Outlook as well as audit/tax software systems. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Oral and written communication skills to support building client relationships. EA or CPA certification a plus but not required.
