ALAY Home Care is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist! SLP is responsible for Assessing, diagnosing, screening, and preventing language, speech, and swallowing disorders. Communicating with the patient, and liaising with their family members, physicians, and teachers to design effective treatment plans. We need Caregivers who are enthusiastic, motivated, dedicated and passionate about caring for others! Pay Rate: $70 per hour PRN Position Job Responsibilities: Provide a comprehensive speech therapy evaluation Maintain and safeguard each family/child's right to privacy, respect and confidentiality. Provide a comprehensive treatment plan including long and short term goals, frequency, duration and treatment modalities Provide instruction to family concerning appropriate techniques of speech/language therapy. Document patient's progress on weekly progress note accurately and timely Document monthly updated treatment plan on standardized form in timely manner. Cover other therapists patient caseload during absence as necessary Maintain professional relationship with co-workers, facility staff, patients and patient families Provide inservice education regarding patient care or speech therapy service areas to rehab staff, facility staff and community as needed Comply with all facility and safety policies and procedures Report to work on time, adhere to scheduled hours and project a professional image at all times. Maintain a positive work atmosphere by demonstrating and communicating in a professional manner so as to foster positive relations with customers, clients, co-workers and managers. Qualifications: Have 1 or more years of experience as an SLP treating individuals with a variety of communication disorders and developmental disabilities Have experience working with children on the autism spectrum Have strong clinical and interpersonal skills Be reliable, punctual, and professional Be able to independently implement treatment programming without daily supervision Driver's License Valid CPR/First Aid Certification NJ License as a Speech Therapist Certificate of Clinical Competence , Speech Language Specialist STANDARD CERTIFICATE Training and Pre-screening: Criminal Background Check - Fingerprints Drug screening College of Direct Support - Online classes for DDD Certifications Join our team by visiting our website: www.alayhc.com and start filling out the application form.
