BMSS, LLC is searching for Accounting Manager with experience in the Government Contracting industry. Under the supervision of a Senior Manager and Partner, the Manager is responsible for a variety of day-to-day accounting tasks as well as project-based tasks. Responsibilities: Relationship manager and service delivery resource for project engagements. Manages to the project budget, communicates budget issues, identifies opportunities to improve engagement profitability. Builds and maintains strong rapport with Supervisors, Seniors and Staff Accountants and guides and motivates in learning. Reviews deliverables of staff assigned to tasks under the manager's jobs for accuracy and completeness in line with position including: Accounting services and support Financial statement review and management reporting Knowledge of payroll rules and taxation Software implementations and conversions Develops and maintains technical knowledge of GAAP and tax regulations as they pertain to accounting services. Ability to prepare and review an incurred cost submission adherent to DCAA standards. Ability to calculate and review indirect rates. Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field Solid understanding of Government Contract Accounting in compliance with FAR and DCAA standards Expertise in one or more Government Contracting Accounting systems such as Deltek Costpoint, JAMIS, Unanet, QuickBooks, etc. About: BMSS is the 2nd largest Advisory & Certified Public Accounting firm in Alabama and was founded in 1991.
