MRA is seeking an energetic and dynamic Vice President of Member Relations and Marketing to take our sales and marketing teams to the next level while driving growth and increasing membership. Position Summary The Vice President of Member Relations (Sales) and Marketing drives member growth and revenue. The objective of the position includes providing leadership to the Wisconsin member relations (sales) team and the corporate marketing & communications team. In partnership with MRA division leaders, you will oversee the development, implementation, and execution of MRA business development plans, including marketing and communications, to drive increased member acquisition and retention and increased revenue from selling added-value services and providing world-class content to our members. Essential Duties and Responsibilities This list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities that management may deem necessary: Achieve sales and strategic objectives by clearly articulating MRA's value proposition and use cases to decision-makers specific to their needs. Cultivate and sustain meaningful member relationships with stakeholders and teams. Lead the WI member relations and the marketing & communications teams to achieve goals by creating an inspiring and engaging team environment, developing team members to be the best they can be, encouraging creativity and risk-taking, and agreeing to and following up on clear goals. Build and maintain close relationships between the MRA member relations team and the marketing & communications team, ensuring regular communications and supporting each other to meet business goals. Collaborate with other member relations leaders and cross-functional partners. Achieve membership targets consistent with MRA margin goals and delivery expectations. Generate membership leads and maintain a pipeline of new membership opportunities across a portfolio of services consistent with MRA's growth strategy. Weave member-specific insights, industry material, and thought leadership information into member conversations to build context and clarity to the outcomes our solutions can deliver. Support the development and management of various pipeline-building strategies, campaigns, and programs. Requirements To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education and/or Experience Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university or equivalent combination of education and experience required 10+ years of relevant practical business development or service-based sales experience, including: Proven experience in a direct sales role, building and executing sales plans. Proven experience managing sales professionals. Proven experience leading a commercial organization (including sales & marketing) preferred. Proven experience selling in a non-profit environment preferred. Proven experience in member associations preferred. Proven ability to close new business opportunities and achieve sales results. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to multitask on simultaneous projects. Team player with proven ability to collaborate on other projects. Demonstrable strategic acumen in solving challenges. Experience with databases/CRM tools. Salesforce is a plus. Proficiency with Microsoft Operating System. The ability to travel up to 20% of the time to regional MRA locations. This position would be ideally located in SE Wisconsin MRA is currently working on a hybrid schedule, with the expectation of working 3 days per week from the Waukesha, WI, location.
