Description:
The Yard Employee will be responsible for the daily activities in the yard such as receiving and stocking product, driving a forklift and loading trucks for delivery. Knowledge of measurement, use of a tape measure and experience with power tools is helpful. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Receive and stock commodity merchandise. Verify product for orders and load flats for daily delivery. Assist customers with materials being picked up or dropped off at the yard. Unload vendor trucks and check in product. Accountable for all safety requirements on equipment used in the yard. Complete maintenance on trucks, buildings and grounds. Maintain cleanliness of yard and warehouse. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Frequent standing and may involve walking short distances and climbing stairs. Occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist. Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds on a regular basis. Exposed to altered climate conditions when in warehouse or yard.
