Job Responsibilities: Promotes coffee consumption by educating customers; selling coffee, merchandise, accessories, and supplies; preparingand serving a variety of coffee drinks, along with pastries and cookies. Welcomes customers by determining their coffee interests and needs. Educates customers by presenting and explaining the coffee drink menu; answering questions. Sells manual brew offerings by explaining differences in coffee beans and coffee preparation; demonstrating how variousbrewing equipment operates. Prepares and sells coffee drinks by following prescribed recipes and preparation techniques for coffee drinks, such as,espresso, cortado, latte, cappuccino and others. Maintains inventories by replenishing coffee bean supply; stocking coffee brewing equipment; maintaining supplies,pastries, and cookies periodically baking throughout the day. Maintains a safe and healthy work environment by following organization standards and sanitation regulations. Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading coffee, retail trade, and food servicepublications; maintaining personal networks. Enhances coffee shop reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploringopportunities to add value to job accomplishments and exceed customer expectations. Additional Supervisor Responsibilities: Serve as a role model to team members, set the tone and create an environment for exceptional customer service! Supervise shifts and demonstrate leadership. Open/ close the Cafe following proper procedures and Cash Handling Policy Ensure all our products are served to the highest standard. Maintain Cafe cleanliness and organization, answer the phone, and stock as needed. Work alongside the Cafe Manager to achieve profitability and help lead sales. Understand quality control procedures to ensure minimal waste. Train new baristas following Cafe training plan. Work events scheduled on our bus, at the Bank of America Stadium, and local pop up events. Requirements This is a supervisory position and requires opening and closing the Cafe. For this position, you must have availability to work both shifts throughout the week. We have several events on the weekends. This position requires weekend availability. Ability to work events. Work Hours and Benefits: Knowledge Perk offers competitive pay and benefits for both full time and part time baristas, in a fast paced and upbeat workenvironment.
