Summary The Program Supervisor for SPAN provides leadership and program management for the Supportive Post Adoption Network (SPAN) program which provides post adoption and referral services for youth and families. This position covers youth and families in Western North Carolina and the Greensboro area. This position can be based in either location. Primary Job Functions Duties Assure that all services within the SPAN program are delivered in accordance with the agency's mission, vision, and service philosophy while assuring services are organized and provided in a manner consistent with North Carolina state licensing rules, COA Standards, contract requirements, and all applicable state and federal laws that apply to the program. Meet all SPAN contract performance measures. Demonstrate a working knowledge of the local child welfare system, specifically adoptions. Working knowledge of system barriers; responds to barriers as opportunities. Provide information and referral services regarding post adoption resources. Oversee administration of assessment and treatment provided for clients with trauma issues, attachment issues, mental health issues, and substance abuse issues, etc. Supervise staff providing cases management as needed to include collaboration, ongoing assessment, planning, facilitation, care coordination, referral to additional services/resources, and advocacy to meet the individual needs of the identified client and their family. Provide staff with crisis prevention, intervention strategies and support. Support the provision of individual and family therapy. Recruit, develop and lead a team capable of supporting CHS performance and growth strategies (complying with COA Standard TS, when appropriate), while fostering an engaging, positive work environment. Review and approve documentation for case file on each client/family to include, but not limited to the following: service notes, assessments (comprehensive clinical, diagnostic, psychiatric, psychological), placement history, summaries of previous treatments, and medical history/evaluations. Oversee the provision of social work services by staff and ensure valid and appropriate licensure/credentialing is in place. Assist with the coordination and/or facilitation of parenting workshops, training events, and group services for adoptive families. Build professional relationships with therapeutic and mental health resources. Collaborate SPAN services with other agency and program team members. Provide public relations and outreach for SPAN. Build a cohesive team that enhances support for colleagues and clients. Contribute to a positive, engaging work environment. Demonstrate compassion to assist in recognizing vicarious trauma and promotion of self-care. Incorporate data management in case reviews and progress to ensure implementation of core services. Ensures data is collected and completed according to agency standards. Ensure the program is implemented with fidelity. Provide a 24-hour on-call availability to assist direct service staff in crisis situations involving clients. Complete all monthly, quarterly, annual, and ad hoc reports to document the function and outcomes of program services. Assure critical risk incidents are documented, reviewed, and reported to required parties in an accurate and timely manner. Review risk management reports and develop and implement corrective action plans as needed. Participate in the development and review of quality improvement processes, case record reviews, and client satisfaction survey instruments. Evaluate and approve time and expense reports and program expenditures according to agency policy. Job Qualifications Education, Licenses & Certifications: · Minimum of MSW or Master's degree in Human Services field, with significant relevant experience required. · Clinical license to include one of the following: LCSW, LMFT, LCMHC Experience: · Minimum of 2 years' experience in the human services or counseling field Competencies Knowledge of: Case Management | Child Welfare System | Adoption & Foster Care Skills and Proficiency in: · Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the agency's policies, procedures, and applicable laws. This includes recruiting, direct supervision, workforce development, and retention of employees according to agency policies and procedures. Ability to: · Adhere to Social Work Code of Ethics or to the Code of Ethics appropriate to the applicable licensure/credentialing and comply with professional standards of the Child Welfare League · Display sensitivity to the service population's cultural and socioeconomic characteristics. · Perform other duties related to department goals and projects as needed. · Strong organizational skills, resource development, and budget development experience a plus · Strong working knowledge of human service systems for youth and young adults and an ability to bring together and collaborate with diverse community partners. · Maintain a valid North Carolina driver's license, adequate auto insurance, and have access to an operating vehicle to attend to CHS business.
