We service clients from the company's 12,000 sq. ft. facility in downtown Cleveland, where our highly talented team strive to deliver a truly unique and memorable experience from start to finish. Marigold is a preferred caterer at some of Cleveland's most popular venues, such as the renowned The Glidden House. In addition, Marigold is the exclusive caterer at The Cleveland Botanical Garden in the esteemed University Circle and Marigold's very own Tenk West Bank has become a popular space in Cleveland which hosts weddings and other extravagant events. POSITION SUMMARY : The primary role of the Accounting Assistant is to directly support the CFO in day to day financial and accounting procedures. Using QuickBooks, the Accounting Assistant will assist with receivable/invoicing, general ledger accounting, and account reconciliation. The Accounting Assistant plays a key role in our client's and vendor's experience with our Company while emulating the Marigold culture. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES (including but not limited to): Processes accounts receivable and payable per the direction of the Chief Financial Officer Responsible for client contracts including deposit schedules Assists in payroll processing (Ahola) and will act as back up to HR Generalist Develops and maintains regular reports via company's accounting software, QuickBooks, and company's catering software, Caterease Performs reconciliation of credit card accounts Reviews statements to ensure accuracy that all bills have been received and correctly entered into QuickBooks Assists in balancing month-end activities including bank reconciliations, journal entries and general ledger account reconciliations Generates year-end 1099s and 1096 transmission Knowledge of Ohio BWC workings and year-end true-up process along with other Ohio state tax procedures Other responsibilities as requested QUALIFICATIONS: Associates Degree in Accounting or work related equivalent 2-3+ years experience in accounting Proven solid experience with QuickBooks and Microsoft Suite is an absolute must Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) Detail oriented, organized, tidy, calm and pleasant demeanor Able to multitask in a fast-paced working environment Willingness to learn and take direction Ability to keep confidential information to themselves Hours of Operation/Work Schedule: Monday through Friday: 9:00a-5:00p (may vary) Benefits (Full-time): Medical and Vision Insurance Dental Insurance Short-Term and Long-Term Disability Insurance Paid Time Off and Vacation Time Free Life Insurance Policy Referral Bonus Program Flexible Scheduling Options #Cleveland #Ohio
