POSITION: Senior Accountant REPORTS TO: Accounting Manager LOCATION: Fresno, CA (On-Site) SALARY: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 annually, DOE COMPANY OVERVIEW: Electric Motor Shop & Supply, Inc. is part of the Caglia Family of Companies. The Electric Motor Shop's state of the art repair facility offers all levels of motor and pump repair, service and rewinding, with 24-hour service availability. Our supply division has one of the largest stocking warehouses in Central California. We also have a fully licensed professional contracting division capable of providing service for small to large industrial projects, including custom panel design and installation, PLC programming, AC drives, and transformer installations. POSITION SUMMARY: The Senior Accountant is responsible for investigating, evaluating, and reconciling balance sheet accounts. Perform complex accounting and administrative work to ensure accuracy and timeliness of accounting activities. PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Prepare journal entries. Prepare and maintain balance sheet reconciliations monthly. Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies, irregularities, and new accounts. Maintain and manage fixed assets. Review and complete sales tax return. Prepare financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing financial information. Support and assist Accounts Receivable. Assemble budgets for monthly financial review meeting. Assistance with cash posting. Maintain resale cards for cash customers. Performing other accounting duties and supporting staff as required or assigned . POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance Understands the concept of general ledger accounting Excellent written and oral communication skills Practical experience with excel Good organizational skills Computer literate and technical savvy Ability to communicate and approach others in a professional manner
