The Manufacturing Engineer provides technical expertise to improve manufacturing processes, ensure product quality, and safely improve manufacturing efficiencies by performing the following responsibilities. Essential Functions include: Responsible for adherence to company policies, including safety and the use of personal protective equipment. Evaluating existing manufacturing processes and identifying areas for improvement Determining problem resolutions and implementing improvements. Developing detailed layouts for equipment, processes, and workflow. Researching and developing new processes, equipment, and products. Developing and implementing cost-saving measures and quality control systems. Ensuring manufacturing processes, equipment, and products comply with safety standards and legal regulations. Maintaining research and activity documentation and preparing reports. Works closely with plant production management staff on continuous improvement initiatives. Supports other department managers in achieving overall site objectives. Work closely with other departments for quality control of raw materials. Works closely with all levels of management on continuous improvement initiatives . Evaluate quality control processes and make recommendations for improvements in quality control. Analyzes production processes, schedules, methods, and other data and provides management with reports containing the data and statistics to enable management to understand future requirements for the manufacturing process. Ensure that the company's manufacturing processes comply with all government laws and regulations. Review and calculate labor, material, and other production costs, along with reviewing schedules and future production requirements to assist management in decision-making. Analyze and plan workflow, equipment placement, and space requirements to improve manufacturing efficiency. Coordinate equipment maintenance and repair services and ensure that manufacturer's procedures and instructions are followed to keep production equipment operational. Knowledge, Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering with two+ years in manufacturing or industrial engineering preferred. Experience evaluating and troubleshooting manufacturing processes and machinery. Experience using CAD, CAM, data analysis programs, and related software. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Strong organizational and management skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. High level of technical skills and strong analytical thinker.
